Custodian

The Nevada Automotive Test Center (NATC) is currently seeking talented candidates for a Custodian at our Silver Springs, NV location. At NATC, the custodian will support engineers who design, manufacture, and test innovative automotive mobility solutions.

Founded in 1957, the Nevada Automotive Test Center (NATC) is a privately owned, independent test, evaluation, design and engineering facility offering development and testing to customers worldwide.

NATC's location in the great basin of Nevada allows our team to access terrain that can represent 85% of the world within a 150-mile radius, providing an excellent test bed for off-road mobility. NATC's operational area includes 1200 sq. miles of natural terrain, that when coupled with 6,200 acres of privately owned test courses, create an unparalleled testing area available to our engineers to innovate and solve our customer's problems. NATC has completed thousands of test programs as a one-stop shop for automotive development.

Position Summary:

This position is under the direct supervision of the Facilities Logistics Operations Manager and is primarily responsible for providing maintenance and housekeeping services to the buildings and grounds to be used to support and promote growth and productivity.

Essential Functions:

1. Performs daily housekeeping and cleaning to maintain a professional and clean facility.
2. Identifies and report all repair and maintenance work.
3. Maintains material and supply inventories (i.e. paper towels, toilet papers, soap, and cleaning supplies).
4. Tours company buildings and property of the Company.
5. Examines doors, windows, and gates to assure they are secured.
6. Verifies that lights are off, thermostats are set to the proper temperature and the facility is secure.
7. Relates well with employees and customers at all levels and at all times in a professional and personable manner.
8. Other duties as assigned.

Marginal Functions:

1. Assist in special projects.
2. Operates Company vehicles.
3. Maintains serviceability and cleanliness of Security facilities and vehicles.

Pay:

$18 to $21

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Able to work in excess of 40 hours per week with varied work shifts.
3. Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Driver's License.
4. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
5. Must have excellent organization and time management skills.
6. Must be flexible and able to handle multiple priorities, with the ability to adjust to high pressure and rapidly changing business conditions.

Work Conditions:

1. Work is performed inside and outside with exposure to inclement weather and unpredictable crisis situations. Shift work and weekends may be required.
2. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
