Assistant Professor of Mass Communications (tenure track)

Assistant Professor of Mass Communications (tenure track) for Eastern New Mexico University to work at our Portales, NM loc.
Teach variety of introductory and skills-oriented courses in media writing, multi-platform storytelling, editorial design (print and digital), public relations and other courses in the major at the undergraduate & graduate levels. Will teach 12 credit hour load each semester; first-year faculty teach 9 credits, in face-to-face, lecture-capture and/or web platforms. Continued research/scholarly accomplishment. Advise undergraduate and graduate students including international students. Service-related duties at the department, college, and university levels. Advise department publication. Little national travel to conferences may be involved. Evening hours may be required. May undergo background checks.

Must have PhD (ABD) in Mass Media, Communication or closely related field.
Also requires a demonstrated record of scholarly or creative publication in area of mass media, mass communication, or related defined research agenda.
