Summary of Position: Monitor applications from submission through matriculation with an emphasis on developing a process for upholding integrity in the application and admissions process. This includes establishing standard operating procedures and best practice information on application management. Provide timely and accurate information to prospective students and internal staff.

This is a non-benefit eligible position working 20 hours/week with a limited term end date of December 2025.

This is a hybrid eligible position that would allow for up to 2 days a week working from home after the training period.


Essential Functions

1. Maintain and uphold the College values of Learning, Excellence, Accountability, Diversity, Student Success, Teamwork, Integrity, and Respect. Regular attendance is required.

2. Complete all required College training and responsible for maintaining the skills necessary to complete the essential functions of the position as defined by the department.

3. Student Success if the cornerstone of Western's culture and the college may assign employees as needed to other areas or additional duties to foster this success.

4. Admissions Support - Supporting Action/Task May Include:

  • Monitor applications from submission through matriculation using multiple software platforms
  • Identify application trends to assist in upholding integrity in Western's admissions process
  • Update student records across multiple software systems
  • Establish and document standard operating procedures, training documentation, and best practices
  • Attend weekly meetings with enrollment services staff to update on progress
  • Collaborate with student information system leaders and enrollment staff on technology upgrades/testing, troubleshooting and development of process efficiencies
  • Adhere to Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

5. Applicant Assistance - Supporting Action/Task May Include:

  • Provide individual, personalized communication and follow-up to applicants
  • Assist in identity verification processes for applicants that are in line with federal and state regulations
  • Deliver timely and accurate information to applicant and staff inquiries via phone, email, and in-person regarding application status
  • Maintain accurate and detailed notes in Western's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, documenting all interactions with prospective students

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in related field OR
  • Education combined experience in related field totaling 2 yrs. OR
  • Occupational experience in related field totaling 2 yrs.

Starting annual/hourly salary range based on education and experience: $21.95 - $27.61
