Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Strategy to support our Wealth business, including Trust, Reliance Trust, and Collective Investment Trust (CIT) business lines. The Director of Strategy will play a critical role in driving the strategic direction and growth of our Wealth business, ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for the Wealth business, including Trust, Reliance Trust, and CIT business lines.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define and prioritize strategic initiatives that drive business growth and profitability.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and threats, and adjust strategies accordingly.

Business Development:

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and acquisitions to expand the Wealth business.
  • Lead the development of business cases and financial models to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement go-to-market strategies for new products and services.

Client Engagement:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders in the Wealth business.
  • Understand client needs and preferences, and ensure that our products and services are aligned with their expectations.
  • Lead efforts to gather and analyze client feedback, and use insights to drive continuous improvement in our offerings.

Operational Excellence:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Implement best practices and processes to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track progress and measure the success of strategic initiatives.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the strategy team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Mentor and develop team members, ensuring they have the skills and resources needed to succeed.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages diversity and teamwork.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in strategy development and execution, preferably in the financial services or Wealth management industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and executing strategic initiatives that drive business growth and profitability.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

FIS JOB LEVEL DESCRIPTION
Director level role with strong leadership skills. Oversees multiple teams managing large, strategic client relationships with delivery of multiple, complex types of services. Leads the development and execution of strategic policies that affect immediate client operations and may have a broader impact to the division or enterprise. Interacts with senior management or executive levels within the enterprise as well as major client organizations. Oversees the resolution of issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives and operations of the enterprise and the client's business. Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, executive management in sensitive situations without damaging the relationship. Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements. Authority for hire, fire, performance appraisal, and pay review decisions. Establishes operational objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to subordinates. Oversees the development of standards, guidelines, direction and education on process/procedures for staff. Typically leads the management of ten or more strategic client relationships with total annual revenue of more than $100 million USD. Typically requires a minimum of fifteen years in client management, sales, or the financial industry dealing with large financial institutions and a minimum of ten years of experience in a leadership role.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $163,310.00 - $274,380.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
