2025 Summer Internship

The CITY Futures Intern will provide assistance and administrative support to the Director of Regional Training and the CITY Futures Manager. This position is responsible for coordinating and managing logistical details of travel, location, and staffing students and coaches for the different programs.

Essential Functions and Outcomes

  • Day-to-day operation assistance - coordinating weekly schedules, complete essential administrative duties, and coaching coverage
  • Communicate with partner organizations and locations to coordinate training times and availability
  • Build and maintain relationships with students from various Universities and Colleges
  • Planning, organizing, and running CITY Cup tournaments
  • Track coaching certifications, coaching development and badges
  • Coordinate and manage equipment for each location
  • Assist Satellite Coordinators in improving outreach to neighborhoods, schools and to get more kids and coaches involved
  • Assist with equipment management, keep inventory and order new material
  • Administrate Way-to-Play registration and data tracking

  • Strong communication skills to effectively work with both internal and external constituents, with an emphasis on communicating the mission, vision, and culture of the program with children, families, student-athlete-coaches and community members
  • Ability to coordinate multiple locations simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work with managers, staff and outside parties
  • Excellent facilitation skills, including the ability to manage and resolve tensions, disputes and conflicts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with an ability to learn internal club database, SAP

Experience and Qualifications

  • Proactive in identifying and completing tasks applicable to the job.
  • Ability to problem-solve and exercise sound judgment.
  • Enrolled in an undergrad or post grad program
