Job Description

Clinical Trials Nurse - GI Surgical (53rd St.)

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Join our team as a Clinical Trials Nurse in our GI Surgery Ambulatory Services. We're looking for a dynamic nursing professional eager to showcase compassionate, evidence-based nursing care skills and make a meaningful impact.

Role Overview:

    Work within a Nurse-Physician/APP based Ambulatory Care Practice Model
  • Provide clinical support to staff members, and assist with the management of a caseload of Surgical Oncology patients
  • Facilitate the accrual of appropriate patients to clinical trials.
  • Coordinate patient care activities and conduct studies for patients enrolled in clinical trials.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding clinical trials in general and the specifics of the proposed clinical trial.
  • Provide as an integral member of the clinical research team to research study participants' direct nursing care, patient and study assessments, education, and patient/ family support.
  • Collaborate with the principal investigator to review new protocols from a nursing perspective and participate in a multidisciplinary discussion for approval.
  • Act as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care to patients throughout various stages of treatment on protocol and follow-up.

Key Qualifications:

  • New York State RN license and BSN
  • Three years clinical Nursing experience
  • Oncology nursing experience preferred
  • Clinical research nursing experience preferred, but not vital
  • Proficiency with clinical and office software (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • BCLS

Pay Range $121,300- $154,450.00

Additional Information:

  • Location: Rockefeller Outpatient Pavilion, 160 East 53rd Street, NY, NY 10022
  • Schedule: Day shift, 10 hr shifts Monday-Friday
