General Purpose

Under general guidance, support the treasury function in the management and administration of DFA's cash management program for DFA and all its subsidiaries.

Job Duties and Responsibilities



  • Assist with the quarterly and ad hoc debt compliance reporting requirements
  • Track monthly reporting of debt and investment schedules
  • Assist in the budget and forecast processes, including providing variance analyses
  • Work with the accounting group during the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Assist the treasury team with internal and external credit/loan agreement preparation
  • Assist with issuance and amendment of letters of credit
  • Develop and maintain relationships with commercial bankers, rating agencies, and bond investors
  • Assist accounting with quarterly footnotes regarding debt and liquidity
  • Keep manager informed of any activities that may require his/her attention

Education and Experience



  • Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related curriculum (or equivalent combination of experience and education)
  • 0 to 2 years of finance, accounting, treasury, or related work experience
  • Experience with financial management systems preferred
  • Certification and/or License - Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), or similar preferred; may be required during course of employment


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite, financial systems, and company computer systems
  • Strong financial and mathematic abilities
  • Financial modeling and critical reasoning skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to organize time, energy, and resources effectively to achieve goals (i.e., organizational skills)
  • Able to work with accuracy and detail oriented
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English



Travel

5%-15% (1-3 times per year)
