The Fiscal Support Analyst is responsible for accounting and administrative duties supporting the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture's Soil Testing and Research Programs including service laboratories located in Fayetteville and Marianna. The position is based out of Fayetteville. This position is responsible for accurately and promptly handling accounts payable/receivable processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, and good customer service skills. This position adheres to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, State and University purchasing guidelines as well as state and federal laws, and other agency and institutional policies.

Summary of Job Duties

*Workday: Process invoices, approve/allocate Pcard and Tcard purchases, verify receipts, process requisitions, create interdepartmental invoices, create procurement authorizations, verify balances and distribute charges to cost centers, process travel requests, spend authorizations and expense reports.
*Reports: Assist in preparing accounting summaries for monthly financial, annual budget and research reports, reconcile cost centers, and prepare annual soil testing budget reports.
*Research Grant Management: Prepare and execute annual call for research proposals and written progress reports, monitor and manage research grant funds.
*Customer Service: Confer with vendors about invoice issues, set up vendors, maintain vendor files, process invoice payments for lab services to accounts receivable, follow-up on pending items delaying the payment process, and resolve billing issues.
*Human Resources: Complete Human Resources processes for new position searches/new hires and onboard new employees.
*Working Relationships: Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty along with creating and maintaining a collegial, harmonious working relationship with staff, suppliers, and community.

Minimum Qualifications

The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in general business, finance, or a related field. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements in related fields of business administration, accounts payable, accounting, or procurement with a demonstrated understanding of accounts payable processes.

Preferred Qualifications

Accounts payable/receivable experience in a higher education setting. Knowledge of computers and software applications includingWorkday, MS Office Software (Excel and Word).
