Warehouse Operator

SUMMARY:

The Senior Distribution Specialist is responsible for preparing all shipments leaving the warehouse.

DUTIES:

The Senior Distribution Specialist is responsible for completing all tasks assigned by the Supply Chain Manager and the Warehouse Facilitator at the Supply Chain Manager's discretion.

SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL

1) Follow all plant procedures to ensure no negative impacts on the Environment, Health, Safety and Responsible Care

2) Comply with safety regulations when handling hazardous material.

3) Participate on a safety team.

4) Completes all required regulatory training.

a) For RCRA required training and job duties.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

1. Review the orders scheduled to ship from the Allen warehouse continuously from 7am - 12pm using SAP.

2. Create Deliveries of sales orders, stock transport orders, and sales samples for the day.

3. Print Pull List, if necessary.

4. Create Shipment and print Bill of Ladings and shipping labels.

5. Review Special Handling Requests and take necessary action.

6. Prepare Export Orders.

7. Complete Order Tracking Log and assemble paperwork for each shipment.

8. Make arrangements with Carriers to pick up orders, and prepare Daily Truck Log.

9. Prepare UPS and Fed Ex shipments by filling out appropriate paperwork.

10. Prepare paperwork and complete SAP transactions for any shipments going to customers, outside warehouses, toll manufacturers and other Milliken locations.

11. Prepare paperwork and complete SAP transactions for sample shipments.

12. Help investigate causes of inventory errors pertaining to shipments. Make SAP adjustments. Re-do order, if necessary.

13. Datafax or scan and email Bills of Lading of shipped products to Milliken Chemical Customer Service each day.

14. Maintain Bills of Lading files on a daily basis.

15. Ensure inventory has been properly relieved and generate invoices for all products shipped.

16. Provide assistance and information to the Traffic Department to file Carrier Claims.

17. Assist Management Associates with investigations regarding Customer Complaints when needed.

18. Assist with Quarterly Inventory - un-allocation of orders on Friday and other related duties.

19. Aware and knowledgeable of appropriate environmental and DOT regulations pertaining to shipment of materials and wastes.

20. Understand environmental policy, objectives, and programs, and comply with all aspects of the Environmental Management System.

21. Be knowledgeable of the COA preparation process

22. Be knowledgeable in all aspects of domestic and international shipping regulations and requirements.

23. Be knowledgeable of other Administrative Associate job functions. These functions will be determined on an "as needed" basis.

24. Serve as a back up to the Supply Chain Coordinator.

25. Perform additional duties as requested by the Supply Chain Manager, Warehouse
