The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary The Center for Justice at the Columbia School of Social Work (CSSW) is seeking a part-time Development Writer to aid in summarizing recent progress in the following areas of research study: justice beyond punishment, ending mass incarceration, and addressing state violence against marginalized communities. Reporting to the Center's Co-Director, the Development Writer will have primary responsibility for crafting public-facing documents and articles that detail the outcomes of the Center's research projects. The incumbent will be responsible for crafting compelling narratives that highlight the organization's progress in these critical areas. The Writer will support fundraising efforts, grant proposals, and public communications, helping to secure resources and build awareness for the Center's mission. THIS POSITION IS 100% GRANT-FUNDED. CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING AVAILABILITY. Responsibilities
