Role Description

Form Energy is hiring a skilled Process Technician to join our Development Operations Process team to support our electrolyte production and analysis workstreams. As part of our process team, you will synthesize, document, and characterize electrochemical solutions in direct collaboration with process engineers and scientists. This is an exciting opportunity to have a direct impact on Form's effects to decarbonize the grid by supporting the production of Form Energy's proprietary electrolytes for use in our research scale and product intent batteries.

What you'll do:
  • Use standard operating procedures (SOPs) to routinely prepare aqueous electrochemical solutions

  • Support development scientists and engineers by stocking, cleaning and maintaining key consumables and equipment

  • Make observations on process anomalies and communicate findings to our electrolyte team for collaborative analysis

  • Analyze samples and execute characterization measurements

  • Continuously improve batch mixing and chemical analysis procedures through identifying problem areas and recommending changes.

  • Be a champion for safety by adhering to lab safety standards & proactively identifying, escalating, and taking corrective action on hazards.

What you'll bring:
  • 2+ years of experience in an R&D or manufacturing wet laboratory environment

  • Familiarity with chemical hygiene, safety best practices

  • Organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Flexible with changes in schedule and ability to self-manage tasks

  • Solid verbal and electronic communication skills (google, microsoft, LIMS applications, etc) within a group of peers and broader organization and systems.

  • Ability to lift 50 lb, climb ladders, work on step stools, and be on your feet for extended periods
