Summer 2025 Intern - Corporate Communications

Responsibilities may include:

• Crafting communication plans and communications to support executives or department communications
• Developing and executing on communication strategies for company initiatives or projects
• Writing stories to share with our employees or agents
• Supporting our communications channels and technology
• Helping build and protect the State Farm brand

We are looking for the following:

• Current Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors majoring in communications, journalism, marketing, or an equivalent program of study
• 3.5 or above GPA preferred
• Experience communicating with varied and diverse audiences
• Creative and innovative approach to content creation and delivery
• Drive and initiative to lead and influence positive change
• Curiosity to solve problems
• Ability to thrive in a team environment, as well as work independently
• A desire to work for State Farm upon graduation
• A can-do attitude, and someone who loves to have a bit of fun!

Internship Program Eligibility: To be eligible for an internship, candidates must be in an undergraduate or post-graduate program with a graduation date of August 2025 or later.

What You Can Expect:

• Dates of internship: May 19, 2025 - August 1, 2025
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 38.75 hours per week
• Due to the short duration of the summer program, it is an expectation that hired interns will be available for the duration of the summer internship with little to no disruption in work schedule.
• Hourly Rate: $22.00/hour. In addition, selected interns will be eligible for a $2,000 stipend (minus applicable taxes)!
• Location: This position will be in a hybrid work environment located in Bloomington, IL.
• Selected interns should plan to spend time working from home and some time working in the office as part of our hybrid work environment. Please note that relocation benefits will not apply.
