Job Summary

The Systems Analyst II, Student Success provides leadership in developing, implementing, and executing Student Success & Enrollment Management (SSEM) CRM systems, and other applications and technology services that enable SSEM's efficient operations and effective strategic initiatives. The Systems Analyst II works closely with the department of Information Technology Services to coordinate, develop, and implement services and systems. May supervise staff positions.

Job Description

Typical duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Manages and supports SSEM's technology systems, tools, and applications to ensure reliable systems usability, security, maintenance, and integrity.
  • Develops, manages, and maintains systems to ensure data accuracy and system efficiency.
  • Creates and executes long-term plans for the department as it relates to retention and graduation strategic and targeted communications.
  • Assists the Senior Director of Retention and Graduation Services with the creation and maintenance of reports and dashboards to execute strategic student intervention strategies.
  • Works closely with Institutional Research to develop dashboards and reports for Retention and Graduation Services.
  • Assists with implementation of the CRM system for enrolled students to ensure project goals are being met and the system is being fully integrated into the University's student information system.
  • Develops and documents CRM and other SSEM systems procedures and best practices.
  • Investigates technology solutions that maximizes the efficiency of Retention and Graduation Services operations.
  • Designs, implements, and delivers CRM and other systems training to staff and consults with end-users to ensure that the systems meet their needs and keep pace with changes in operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Troubleshoots and triages technical issues as they arise; resolves or refers issues to IT team, as needed; responds quickly to urgent requests from programs.
  • Serves as main point of contact for SSEM stakeholders and departments for all system-related needs, including but not limited to seamless system integration and efficiencies.
  • Designs, builds, updates, and maintains targeted student interventions to positively impact the University's performance metrics and the strategic plan key performance indicators.
  • Assists with the creation of resources and efficiencies for SSEM systems, including but not limited to user training and process documentation.
  • Communicates changes in system functionality to Retention and Graduation Services leadership and staff in a prompt and effective manner.

Other Duties:

  • Stays current on trends and education in recruitment and enrollment web-based technology in order to develop new and improved services. Participates in state, regional, and national professional organizations, conferences and workshops. Maintains professional memberships and certifications.
  • Serves as liaison with other SSEM units regarding technical support of SSEM systems.
  • Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of University and Retention and Graduation Services policies and practices.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications:

  • This position requires either eight years of directly related full-time experience or, as an alternative, a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of full-time experience directly related to the job functions.
  • Experience using CRM technology or other higher education systems.
  • Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
  • Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization.
  • Two years of related full-time professional experience managing projects, resolving issues for functional users and improving operations efficiency.
  • Experience resolving technical issues in collaboration with functional users, central IT department and software vendors.
  • Experience working in a higher education environment.
  • Experience with process analysis, development, planning, and implementation.

Salary Range: $57,300 to $91,700
