Title: Systems Engineer (DNS, DHCP, and IP Manager) Location: Colorado Springs, CO or Alexandria, VA Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph Responsibilities:
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot DNS zones, records, and resolution policies
- Implement DNS security policies, including DNSSEC and other protective measures
- Perform DNS zone transfers, updates, and changes
- Manage and configure DHCP scopes and options across multiple environments
- Oversee IP address allocation and management, ensuring efficient usage and accurate records
- Implement IPAM strategies for efficient IP space management, including subnetting and supernetting
- Develop and maintain scripts for automating DNS, DHCP, and IPAM tasks using REST APIs
- Integrate Infoblox solutions with other network management and monitoring and management tools
- Monitor the performance and health of DNS and DHCP services, addressing issues promptly
- Generate regular reports on DNS and IP address utilization, providing insights and recommendations for optimization
- Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry standards to include experience with STIG guidelines
- Assist in auditing DNS and IPAM configurations to identify and mitigate potential risks
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for DNS, DHCP, and IPAM-related issues
- Work closely with other network and security teams to resolve complex networking issues
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM configurations and processes
- Train and support junior network administrators and other IT staff on Infoblox technologies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institute in a technical discipline applicable to the position; an additional 4 years of experience be substituted in lieu of a degree
- Minimum eight (8) years of relevant experience in addition to education level
- DoD 8570 IAT/IAM II certification and a system-specific certification (e.g. Microsoft, Cisco, Juniper, Infoblox, Linux, Unix, AWS, Tableau, Splunk etc.)
- Working knowledge of Infoblox technologies
- Experience working in a DoD or IC environment desired
- Current active TS/SCI clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph
