Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX, and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12 + month contract position. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain complex Tableau dashboards and reports that present data in visually engaging formats Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business objectives Optimize Tableau reports and dashboards for performance and scalability, ensuring usability and efficiency Establish best practices for data visualization and report development in Tableau, promoting consistency and clarity Conduct data analysis and identify trends, insights, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support data-driven decisions Integrate Tableau with data sources such as Oracle, SQL Server, spreadsheets etc., Provide guidance and mentoring to other Tableau developers and data analysts on the team Document processes, design methodologies, and best practices for future reference and knowledge sharing Setup versioning, CI/CD Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field 8+ years of experience with Tableau (Desktop, Server) with expertise in dashboard development and report creation Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, data manipulation, and integration with Tableau Experience with ETL tools and data warehousing concepts, including data preparation, cleansing, and transformation Proven experience in designing and developing complex Tableau visualizations, including filters, actions, and complex calculations Solid understanding of data visualization principles and best practices Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical data to non-technical stakeholders Desired skills: Certifications in Tableau (e.g., Tableau Desktop Certified Professional). Knowledge of additional BI tools such as MicroStrategy, Cognos. Experience with Agile methodologies Familiarity with machine learning concepts and their application to data visualization Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
