Position Summary

The Program Director-Magnet/Pathways to Excellence has have primary Hospital(s) responsibility for all aspects of the ANCC Magnet/Pathways to Excellence application, designation, and re-designation processes. You will develop a plan to ensure compliance and maintenance with Magnet/Pathways requirements throughout lifecycle of preparing for application, designation, and re-designation. You will function as primary liaison with ANCC and establish and maintain effective relationships with administration, nurse leadership and all staff to ensure achievement of goals related to Magnet/PTE readiness. You will identify, develop, and maintain comprehensive data management systems that support information submission to ANCC and enables accurate tracking of key performance indicators.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Nursing
  • PhD in Nursing, DNP, or ARNP preferred
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
  • ANCC NPD specialty certification preferred; if not in possession at time of hire, must acquire within two (2) years of hire
  • Four (4) years of acute care nursing practice
  • Two (2) years of program management experience preferred
  • Prior experience in Magnet or Pathway to Excellence Program designation responsibility required

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $139,298.00 - $192,379.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
