Unit Clerk Monitor Technician, Remote Telemetry Surveillance

Essential duties and Responsibilities

• Observes all assigned monitors and accurately interprets rhythms.
• Reports all changes in rhythm to RN assigned to patient.
• Follows unit policy and procedure for accurately recording and documenting patient rhythm.
• Immediately alerts RN of a lethal arrhythmia.
• Records ongoing rhythm strips during emergency situations involving assigned patients.
• Provides complete shift report.
• Provides report to RN assigned to patient.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Completion of a CNA program required

Successfully pass EKG test prior to completion of orientation.

Certifications/Licensure

Current CNA certification in applicable state

Approved CPR or BLS certification is required within 90 days
