The ProHealth Care athletic training program works with active patients to prevent and treat injury and illness, as well as to enhance performance associated with activity. Athletic trainers are health care providers who specialize in the prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses. They work with other health care providers and coaches to help athletes and patients of all levels and ages with injury from practice or competitive play and daily activity. Patients who may benefit from the service of our athletic trainers include: Hours: This position is pool/prn-varied hours - Day/Nights/weekends. Employees will require a car to drive to any of the Waukesha County High School locations that we support. Prefer ability to begin at 2:30 to 3:00 PM occasionally, and prefer employees be available 3-4 shifts per month at a minimum. Work is often outdoors and may be in inclement weather. The Athletic Trainer (AT) is responsible for evaluating and advising individuals to assist recovery from or avoid athletic-related injuries or illnesses or maintain peak physical fitness. May provide first aid or emergency care during sporting events. ProHealth Care's Athletic Trainers support the Waukesha County High School's athletic programs. Key functions of this role include:
What you will need: Bachelor's Degree in related field. Athletic Trainer Certification (ATC) within 90 days of hire. Licensed Athletic Trainer in State of WI within 90 days of hire. BLS (CPR) Certification, or ability to obtain upon hire. AED certification within 90 days of hire.
