A postdoctoral position in cancer metabolism is available in the laboratory of Dr. Katherine Aird at the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. Currently, NIH-funded projects include how cancer metabolism influences the epigenome and mechanisms of differential cancer metabolism on the immune microenvironment. Our research integrates cellular and molecular biology of in vitro and in vivo models of cancer, metabolomics, and high throughput genomics, and will be executed through multi-disciplinary and cross-institutional collaborations. Requirements are: PhD in cancer biology, cell biology, molecular biology, or any related fields. Necessary research skills include standard molecular and cellular biology techniques. Prior experience in mouse models is a plus. In addition, candidates should have outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving skills as well as effective written and oral skills.
