This employee is responsible for ensuring employees comply with various federal and state healthcare regulations and Lincare policies, and for conducting compliance investigations.
* Oversees all internal compliance projects and investigations for assigned region * Responsible for all aspects of compliance in the territory assigned * provides guidance, coaching, and training to employees regarding internal compliance. * Creates and presents specific training to the field * Manages the entire compliance process (billing or operations) for the geographic region as assigned, including site visits, education, audits, investigations, etc. * Analyzes data from the pulse oximeter data base and AS400 to determine compliance with Lincare and Medicare Standards * Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (i.e. DOT, OSHA, DEA, EEO) as well as internal Lincare policies and procedures * Provides clarification regarding policies, practices, and procedures * Assists management with making improvements to processes and/or systems to enhance employee performance across the region * Acts as the point of contact for region(s) assigned * Drafts compliance alerts for review and approval by the Chief Compliance Officer * Manages IT projects requested by compliance as assigned * Reconciles and monitors refunds related to compliance activities * Conducts internal investigations into alleged or perceived improprieties or violations of policy or regulations * Conducts internal investigations into alleged or perceived improprieties or violations related to documents sent through the Centralized Documentation Review department * Manages projects assigned by Legal department * Performs proactive site visits for visibility and training purposes * Performs random compliance audits at centers * Reviews and revises compliance training as assigned |
