Requisition ID req31636 Working Title Advanced Practice Provider Position Grade 16 Position Summary The Transdisciplinary Evaluation and Support Clinic (TEASC) provides consultative, interdisciplinary clinical services for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, and is seeking a full-time staff Psychiatric Advanced Practice Provider with an interest in and background working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD). The position will provide consultative clinical services as part of an interdisciplinary team to individuals with I/DD, who may have complex medical and/or behavioral challenges. Clinics include TEASC evaluations provided statewide, an Adult Special Needs Clinic (in collaboration with multiple other UNM clinicians) and technical assistance provided upon request. The applicant may also participate in other multidisciplinary clinics based on need and interests, which may include the Adult Cerebral Palsy Clinic, the Adult Feeding Clinic Supports and Assessment for Feeding and Eating (SAFE) Clinic, or Developmental Disabilities/Mental Illness (DDMI) Clinics. Responsibilities will include writing preliminary reports based on records review and intake for individuals referred to the team, clinical participation in evaluations, and writing comprehensive reports following clinical evaluations. Reports are directed to families and a range of support providers as well as medical providers. Additional opportunities, based on interest, include: developing and providing training in topics around providing effective care to individuals with I/DD; and participation in research projects. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree; no previous experience required. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications Preferences -Training in and experience providing psychiatric care to individuals with I/DD. -Able to travel statewide. -Able to prioritize multiple complex duties in coordination with other team members, while meeting timelines. -Excellent writing skills and ability to write reports in a timely manner. Interest/experience writing narrative-type reports is helpful. -Comfortable working with an interdisciplinary team.
