Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for identifying, querying, analyzing, and visualizing data through reports and presentations, a variety of data to support operations, quality, and performance measurement initiatives in Infection Control and Antimicrobial Stewardship.
  • Uses data mining and discovery techniques for healthcare intelligence pattern and relationship recognition.
  • Develops and implements analytical processes that allow for predictive analytics, trend analyses, variation analyses, and provider profiling.
  • Strong experience presenting data through the building of dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools such as Tableau, SQL Server and leverages other tools and technologies.
  • Queries and analyzes data from hospital systems such as our electronic medical record system (Epic), data warehouse, external websites, and more, to produce actionable reports for internal customers.
  • Performs comprehensive quality assurance, ensuring that data and reports meet end user specifications and are accurate and reliable.
  • Continually develops analytical and technical skills to support advancing and evolving functions.
  • Maintain positive working relationships, demonstrate accountability, promote teamwork, and keep team informed of project status.
  • Lead the improvement and streamlining of processes regarding data flow, storage, and quality to improve data accuracy, and viability and value.

Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field).
  • Current Epic certification(s) or ability to achieve within 12 months of date of hire.

Experience/Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
  • Strong work ethic, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong math, statistics, and quantitative methods skills.
  • Has innovative approaches to problem solving with the ability to think creatively.
  • Leverage technology and collaborate at all levels of the organization. Able to translate data into actionable information.
