About the role:
As an IT Architect, you'll help design the foundation for how our global fintech platforms perform and scale. Your expertise will influence selecting, operating and administering systems and software for our environment that supports vital business processes.

About the team:

FIS Compliance Suite (formerly Protegent) is a scalable platform that solves multiple regulatory challenges, including anti-money laundering and communications surveillance.

What you will be doing:
* Defining and maintaining a library of functional component models for FIS product lines.
* Documenting functional product solutions as well as key FIS financial services opportunities.
* Maintaining a catalogue of reusable functional application components relevant for applications and product lines.

What you will need:
* Expertise with end-to-end systems development life cycles and a background leading large projects.
* Five or more years in a distributed and heterogeneous computing environment, working with relational or hierarchical databases.
* Experience designing and implementing applications in a shared service bureau environment.
* Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines leveraging model driven design-based tools and techniques.
* A bachelor's in computer science or engineering, or the equivalent experience - post-graduate education desired.

Requirements

  • Software Architect Expertise: Demonstrated experience and proficiency in software architecture at an expert level.
  • AWS Expertise: Expert level in AWS services including EKS, EC2, and S3.
  • Snowflake Expertise: Extensive experience and deep understanding of Snowflake public cloud.
  • Apache Spark Expertise: Advanced knowledge and practical expertise in using Apache Spark.
  • SQL Expertise: Strong proficiency in SQL for database management and operations.
  • Scripting Expertise: Expert-level skills in scripting languages for automation and data manipulation.
  • Airflow Experience: Proven working experience with Apache Airflow and Astro.
  • Programming Languages: Competence in Java, Scala, and Python with significant working experience.
  • .NET Experience: Practical experience with the .NET framework.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in software development and architecture.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in AWS, Snowflake, and data engineering technologies are highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Deep understanding of cloud architecture and services, particularly AWS.
  • Advanced knowledge of data warehousing solutions, specifically Snowflake.
  • Proficient in big data technologies such as Apache Spark.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience in database design and management.
  • Expertise in scripting languages for automation tasks.
  • Practical experience with data orchestration tools like Apache Airflow and Astro.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages including Java, Scala, and Python.
  • Experience with the .NET framework and Angular for application development.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a technical team.
  • Proven track record of working in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $138,600.00 - $232,850.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
