Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide professional and courteous customer service, security of certain areas and information to patrons at the McAninch Arts Center for rental events such as graduations, award ceremonies, dance rentals, theatre rentals, ethnic and cultural functions, etc.

  • Arrive 1 hour to 90 minutes prior to event and remain on duty throughout event.
  • Minimum shift of 4 hours.
  • Monitor and enforce a variety of rules set by renter/purchaser.
  • Checking credentials including: hand stamps, wristbands, ID's, etc.
  • Manage constant flow of patrons in and out of theaters.
  • Provide directional information to patrons and safety measures in case of evacuation.
  • Provide security and limit access to certain areas.
  • Other duties as dictated by renter/purchaser.
  • Provide prompt, professional and courteous responses to all patron concerns.
  • Other duties as required.


  • Qualifications:

    • Education
      • Minimum high school required.
      • CPR Certification preferred.
    • Experience
      • Some customer service or volunteer-related experience required.
      • Proficiency in spoken English required.
      • One year customer service or volunteer-related experience preferred.
    • Licenses and Certifications
      • COD Training
        • Compliance Training


      Working Conditions:

    • Telephone, computer and AED Defibrillator.
    • Considerable public contact, flexible hours, on feet and standing for entire shift, mostly evenings and weekends as rentals are scheduled. 4-6 hour shifts.
