Mental Health Tech Coordinator

The Mental Health Technician Coordinator assists in the delivery of direct patient care in a safe, therapeutic, and holistic manner. Collaborates with care team members to develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care to meet individualized patient care outcomes. Develops a plan to meet professional development needs, to improve work performance and provides administrative support to facilitate operations of the clinic/department.

Location: Fairfax, VA

Job Responsibilities:

• Provides administrative support by answering phones, transcribing orders, and maintaining charts.
• Provides basic triage of patients, registers patients, takes vital signs and provides information on status.
• Registers patients for emergency and outpatient services while ensuring complete and accurate information is obtained.
• Schedules appointments in automated scheduling system. Makes copies, sends/receives faxes and opens/distributes mail.
• Reinforces transition/discharge teaching and home care skills. Utilizes the Healthcare Event Form to report variances in practice.
• Communicates and collaborates with care team members to develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care to meet individualized patient care outcomes.

Requirements for Consideration:

• High School or GED or bachelor's degree - related field preferred
• One (1) year of relevant clinical experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association.
