General Information: James Madison University Recreation (UREC) is now accepting applications for a GA for Sport Clubs from candidates planning to pursue a career and advanced degree in campus recreation. Duties and Responsibilities: The Graduate Assistant for Sport Clubs will take on a leadership role in the programming, scheduling and leadership development of JMU's sport club program, which includes over 50 clubs and an Executive Council. The GA for Sport Clubs will provide oversight for select clubs (low-risk category) by providing mentorship to club presidents and administration of practice/game schedules and club travel. This position also assists in the hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation for over 10 student staff. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in related field.
