POSITION TITLE Analytics IT Product Owner POSITION OVERVIEW Milliken is in search of an IT Product Owner to join our team! This position will be a key player in the IT Department as the Analytics Product Owner. The role of Product Owner entails working closely with business stakeholders to identify requirements and sequence the work for Digital Roadmap initiatives as well as incremental changes that bring business value. The product owner is responsible for executing the product strategy set by the Data Analytics Manager within the agile development process. They act as the bridge between the development team and stakeholders, ensuring that development efforts align with business priorities and customer needs. This role is based out of our corporate headquarters in Spartanburg, SC and is a hybrid position (3 days in office and 2 days remote). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Works in Agile environment to continuously review business needs, refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify risks. Works closely with business stakeholders to translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including creation of user stories with acceptance criteria. * Prioritizes and maintains the backlog for the product while balancing the requirements of the business stakeholders * Actively participates in Agile Scrum ceremonies for implementation of the work - such as Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retros * Creating and maintaining the product backlog (list of tasks and features) * Prioritizing features based on customer feedback and business value * Translate the high-level vision set by the Data Analytics Manager into detailed requirements * Prioritizing user stories and features for each sprint * Writing user stories and acceptance criteria * Collaborating closely with the development team during sprint planning, daily scrums, and sprint reviews * Acting as the primary point of contact for the development team to clarify requirements and provide feedback * Ensuring that the team delivers value to customers with each sprint * Collaborating with stakeholders across the organization (marketing, sales, etc.) to ensure successful delivery * Evaluate, recommend, and help implement improvements on digital strategy to maximize software investment and advance business value throughout the company * Responsible for product area roadmap to research and demonstrate innovation and "art of the possible", with existing technology * Partnership with stakeholders and Data Analytics Manager, bridging the gap between stakeholder requests and the Corporate Analytics Strategy * Focus on continuous learning of digital assets to stay current on optimizing business results * Analyze and report on digital initiatives in partnership with business stakeholders * Partner for product area Center of Excellence with appropriate business stakeholders on regular cadence QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED * BS degree in IT related field. * 5+ years of proven business applications related experience in Data Analytics (PowerBI, SAP Analytics Cloud, Tableau) * 2+ years of experience as an IT Product Owner in an Agile/Scrum environment. * Business Applications knowledge in Textile, Floor Covering, or Chemical industries. The successful candidates will demonstrate strengths in the following: * Strong working knowledge of relevant business processes and software for products within product area. * Strong critical thinking capabilities related to research/strategy on software advancements. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. * Highly motivated/self-starter to be driven to find gaps in processes and technology. * Ability to handle conflict resolution and facilitate change even when met with change resistance. * Organize tasks effectively for backlog prioritization and commitment to business stakeholders |
