Description

Provides leadership and oversight to programs/services that enhances the life of residents in the south Orange County community, with a focus on at-risk populations. Based on community and organizational needs, oversees initiatives relating to access to health care issues. Provides leadership to the tri-annual health needs assessment process. Completes mandated reports for health system and statewide agencies. Manages the Community Benefit Grants Program. Represents Mission Hospital leadership at Healthy Communities collaboratives, events, and meetings. Provides direct supervision to identified community benefit staff.

Required Qualifications:



  • Master's Degree Public Health, Planning, or related field.
  • upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
  • 2 years Experience in program planning, design and management.
  • Experience in population health data interpretation and planning as well as public health concepts in relationship to understanding and improving the health of the community.
  • Experience in program planning, design and management.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • 2 years Management experience.
  • 2 years Experience leading volunteers/community members through a community change process.
