Billing Representative - Remote in EST or CST

This position is full time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work our normal business hours of 7:00am - 3:30pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer 4 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be 7:00am - 3:30pm CST, Monday - Friday.

If you are located in Eastern OR Central Time Zone, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Data Entry of all required billing information that appears on requisitions and laboratory reports
  • Entry of demographic and billing information in multiple hospital and laboratory interfaces
  • Understanding of Laboratory Pathology reports
  • Understanding of requests for services on a laboratory requisition
  • Ability to meet quality and production standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Detailed oriented
  • Maintain Compliance with HIPPA regulations at all times
  • Ability to key a minimum of 8000 alpha - numeric keystrokes per hour with minimal errors

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • 1+ years of high-volume data entry experience
  • Ability using computer and Windows PC applications, which includes keyboard and navigation skills and ability to learn new computer programs
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday, our normal business hours of 7:00am - 3:30pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Ability to type at least 55 WPM
  • Previous experience using IDX and/or Centricity
  • Experience working with Onbase



Telecommuting Requirements:



  • Reside within EST or CST
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.
