OptumRx is looking for a curious and self-motivated individual to identify and develop strategies that leverage the full breadth of Optum assets to solve healthcare's biggest challenges in the area of pharmacy services. This role will be responsible for understanding the needs of industry partners and developing business solutions using the data and capabilities of Optum. We are looking for people that can collaborate with business partners, anticipate future industry needs, and have solid financial acumen.

Will provide portfolio management, project management, business analysis, and administrative support.
In this role, you will work with product team leadership, product directors and managers, sales & account teams, clinical, marketing, finance and other cross-functional stakeholders, with the goal of driving an improved experience for consumers and providers and bringing value to our clients and the members we serve.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Lead the development and implementation of the Community Based Specialty Pharmacy Network (CBSPN) strategy
  • Manage relationships with health systems and community pharmacies for CBSPN participation and performance
  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers, fostering their professional growth
  • Lead the development and execution of product strategies for pharmacy network offerings
  • Manage product lifecycles from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes
  • Conduct market research on pharmacy trends to inform product decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop go-to-market strategies for new and existing pharmacy network products
  • Define and prioritize product features, creating detailed roadmaps for various pharmacy network offerings
  • Drive sales initiatives to expand our market presence and increase revenue
  • Monitor product performance, using data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement
  • Oversight of financial metrics and P&L Activities
  • Act as primary point of contact for product-related inquiries, providing expertise to internal and external stakeholders
  • Optimize existing pharmacy networks to maintain competitiveness and efficiency

Required Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of experience in pharmacy network healthcare and/or pharmacy benefit management
  • 3+ years product management, design and execution experience (non-technical product) within a large matrix organization, with at least 2 years within Health Care industry, pharmacy, PBM or pharmaceutical manufacturer
  • 2+ years of direct client engagement experience
  • Experience building financial models and business cases, forecasting revenue or savings opportunities associated with product development initiatives
  • Experience defining and executing against product roadmaps, achieving goals in an ambiguous and matrixed work environment
  • Experience evaluating market intelligence, competitive landscape, customer insights, and value proposition design to build new product strategies
  • Experience developing and delivering formal Power Point presentations, storytelling to senior leaders and clients
  • Experience communicating effectively & working collaboratively to influence and drive initiatives forward
  • Experience interacting with senior leaders and representing workstream progress and recommendations to an executive audience



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Pharm D or Pharmacy Technician certification
  • Specialty pharmacy experience
  • Experience working on or leading a high performing Product team
  • Contract and/or RFP experience
  • Proven negotiation skills, with experience in at least 2 large-scale contract negotiations

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $104,700 to $190,400 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
