Purchasing Clerk

• Process Dropship Purchase Orders (Data Entry)
• Review PO acknowledgements via email and call vendors
• Index PO confirmations in the DocLink paperless system
• Clear Purchasing status in DocLink, sorting stock from dropship items
• Manage backorders to determine if items should be drop-shipped or brought into ALCO
• Check the status of open purchase orders through vendor communication
• Assist in the Returns department when needed
• Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of purchasing experience (preferred, but not required)
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and work independently
• Reliable and have own transportation
• Intermediate computer skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Good typing and communication skills
• Familiarity with Sage 100 (ERP System) and Paperless Workflow (DocLink) is a plus
• Office and warehouse environment
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs (primarily in the returns department)
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and bend for up to 8 hours a day
