The Opportunity

You will join a highly collaborative team of data scientists and engineers, research scientists, and ML engineers, working closely with the internal product teams. Your primary role will be to design and build various ML models and pipelines integrated into digital imaging products, including Photoshop desktop, web, and mobile. We are looking for someone who has a diligent demeanor, invites constructive discussion, naturally strives to be a good teammate, and always works with a bias towards action. Your work will be grounded in ML model productization, validated in meticulous experimentation, and pushing the boundaries of coordinated product strategy. This individual will work within a fast-paced, agile environment with a customer-focused research and engineering team. In this position, you will play a key role in productizing research ideas to build "Adobe Magic" in Photoshop and digital imaging applications.

What You'll Do

  • Work towards results-oriented research goals, while identifying intermediate achievements.

  • Contribute to applied research that can be applied to Adobe product development.

  • Explore and lead innovative imaging technology for Adobe customers

  • Help integrate novel research work into Adobe's product.

  • Lead and collaborate on applied research projects across different Adobe divisions

  • Collaborate with engineers and participate in daily or weekly stand ups and meetings.

  • Work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced development team, with clear, positive, and constructive communication.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Currently enrolled full time and pursuing a PhD degree in machine learning, AI, computer science, statistics; or equivalent experience required

  • Experience and demonstrable knowledge of Visual Foundation Models (Transformers, Diffusions) Multimodal Language Model (Text to Image, Image to Text), encompassing their evaluation metrics, challenges in productization, and familiarity with common frameworks and methodologies

  • Be able to evaluate, improve, or develop advance machine learning algorithms for complex use cases

  • Experience working in teams.

  • Knowledge in a programming language (Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc)

  • Familiar with the ML development lifecycle - data acquisition and annotation, ML model design and implementation, ML model evaluation and deployment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; can effectively articulate complex ideas and influence others through well-reasoned explanations.

  • Ability to participate in a full-time internship between May-September

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $45.00 -- $61.00 hourly. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay rate for your job location during the hiring process.
