The Logistics Manager is responsible for managing inventory within a facility to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained. The position is also responsible for managing the delivery operations of the facility to make sure we are leveraging all our options to efficiently process customer orders. In addition, the role is also responsible for lowering our freight and delivery costs while meeting customer delivery dates. In addition, the role is also responsible for lowering our freight and delivery costs while meeting customer delivery dates. Manage Warehouse Inventory
- Manage inventory as well as warehouse, transportation, and other logistics processes
- Partner and communicate with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers
- Manage and supervise warehouse personnel.
- Complete and administer performance appraisals as required.
- Follow designated loss prevention, security and safety practices according to policy and correct or report non-compliance of appropriate procedures/policies.
- Identify potential damaged/obsolete material and handle per established policy/procedures.
- Locate out-of-stock items as necessary.
- Manage facility min-max system to accommodate customer in-stock and intermix needs.
- Delegate work assignments, direct and train warehouse staff members in completion of their assigned tasks.
- Assist with physical inventory.
Process Shipments
- Manage the flow of incoming materials and outgoing finished products to ensure customers receive products on time.
- Prepare out-going orders and ship as instructed.
- Check in-coming merchandise against bills of lading and invoice for accuracy.
- Oversee shipping and receiving functions.
- Oversee will-calls and proper flow of paperwork.
- Ensure deliveries are prepared to meet customer requirements in the most efficient manner.
- Ensure merchandise has been processed through the POS or recorded on manual POST form prior to merchandise leaving the store.
Warehouse Organization / Safety
- Ensure warehouse and shipping/receiving area within the facility is organized to support receiving, storing and shipping of stock.
- Maintain facility to S-W standards through proper maintenance, repair and housekeeping.
- Accurate management and timely disposal of hazardous and non hazardous waste from the site
- Operate all material handling, tinting, mixing and testing equipment in a safe manner.
Ensure Customer Expectations and Met and Respond / Resolve Complaints
- Ensure customer quality and service expectations are met.
- Assist with deliveries and customer service including waiting on customers, order taking, tinting and mixing, and telephone inquiries.
- Responsible to ensure all Color Express/Corob customer orders are completed within 24 hours of order.
Manage Inventory Cost and Expense
- Contribute to developing new strategies to streamline processes and reduce cost

- Manage Obsolescence
- Manager Inventory Turns
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school degree or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in the supply chain, transportation, logistics, or related field
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in industry procedures, costs, and terms
- Strong project management skills with the ability to supervise multiple projects
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: (TIME SPENT AWAY FROM HOME OR OTHER TYPICAL OFFICE LOCATION)
WORK SCHEDULE:
- Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
