WAIT UNTIL THE MACHINERY COMES TO A COMPLETE STOP AND ATTACH A "LOCK OUT" TAG BEFORE WORKING ON THE MACHINERY. 2. THE ORANGE LIGHT ON TOP OF THE CARD INDICATES THAT THE DOFFER, LICKERIN, AND MAIN CYLINDER ARE STOPPED. 3. NEVER ENTER A CARD UNTIL IT IS COMPLETELY STOPPED AND THE ORANGE LIGHT IS ON. 4. NEVER STAND ON THE TOP TWO STEPS OF A LADDER. 5. HAVE A SPOTTER HOLD THE LADDER IF YOU ARE HIGHER THAN 10 FEET. 6. LEAVE ALL MAJOR ELECTRICAL REPAIRS FOR AN ELECTRICIAN. 7. REPORT UNSAFE LOCKS AND SWITCHES. 8. NEVER JUMP SWITCHES TO START EQUIPMENT. 9. PLACE A LOCK OUT TAG ON THE EQUIPMENT WHEN YOU ARE INSPECTING OR WORKING ON IT. 10. FOLLOW THE SECONDARY VERIFICATION PROCEDURES IF THE CRITERIA ARE MET. 11. DO NOT CLIMB ON THE EQUIPMENT, USE A LADDER. 12. KEEP THE WORK AREA CLEAN OF GREASE, PARTS, AND TOOLS TO AVOID TRIPPING HAZARDS. 13. MAINTAIN TOOLS IN GOOD CONDITION. 14. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO START A MACHINE WITH A LOCK OUT TAG ON IT. 15. DO NOT GRIND WOOD, PLASTIC, OR SOFT METALS ON THE BENCH GRINDERS. 16. NEVER CLEAN THE CARD SCRAPER BLADES WITH YOUR BARE FINGERS. 17. GLOVES MUST BE WORN WHEN WORKING WITH BELTS AND PULLEYS OR SPROCKETS AND CHAINS. MACHINE MUST BE STOPPED WHEN DOING THIS TASK. 18. NEVER RESET AN OVERLOAD OR BREAKER, CALL ELECTRICIAN. 19. WHEN BRUSHING OUT A DOFFER ON A CARD YOU MUST REMAIN IN FRONT OF THE CARD. REACHING OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE CARD INTO THE GUARDED AREA REQUIRES THE CARD TO BE LOCKED OUT. FAILURE TO DO SON IS A VIOLATION OF LOCK OUT TAG OUT AND WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE TERMINATION. DRAWING TECHNICIAN 1. CUT POWER OFF ON BOBBIN STRIPPERS BEFORE BLOWING OUT OR MAKING ADJUSTMENTS OR REPAIRS. 2. A LOCKOUT TAG MUST BE USED WHEN STOPPING A PIECE OF MACHINERY FOR INSPECTION OR REPAIR. PRESS THE EMERGENCY STOP SWITCH AND PLACE THE LOCKOUT TAG ON THE SWITCH. 3. NEVER ADJUST DOFFER ARMS OR TRACKS WHILE MACHINE IS IN PROCESS OF DOFF. STAY OUT FROM UNDER PLATFORM. REMOVE COVERS INSTEAD OF CRAWLING UNDER. NEVER GET ON TOP OF MACHINE. GET A LADDER. 4. STOP THE MACHINE TO CUT A LARGE STEEL ROLL CHOKE. LOCK OUT THE MACHINE. 5. CHECK TO MAKE SURE TOOLS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION BEFORE USING. 6. WHEN USING A DRILL OR GRINDER, A FACE SHIELD AND GOGGLES MUST BE WORN. 7. KEEP WORK AREA CLEAN AND NEAT. KEEP GREASE, PARTS, TOOLS ETC. OUT OF THE FLOOR. 8. DO NOT GRIND WOOD, PLASTICS OR SOFT METALS ON THE GRINDING WHEELS. 9. GLOVES MUST BE WORN WHEN WORKING WITH BELTS AND PULLEYS OR SPROCKETS AND CHAINS. MACHINE MUST BE STOPPED WHEN DOING THIS TASK.
