Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Coordinator I, Records will coordinate and provide support for Records & Enrollment Services processes to include inbound and outbound transcripts, degree audit, and graduation. Serves as the subject matter expert for transfer credit and graduation. Ensures consistent practices are followed throughout Lone Star College by auditing data and working with employees at campuses to resolve issues.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Builds and maintains external transfer catalogs to ensure transcription evaluation efficiencies and accuracy
  2. Processes college/high school official transcripts, enrollment verifications, or in-school deferments
  3. Responsible for the OCR process, conversion, duplicate records merge, and reverse transfer processes as needed
  4. Acts as backup for all diploma processing
  5. Performs high school and college transcript audits
  6. Answers incoming calls to resolve issues from employees and students
  7. Creates and maintains job aids for transcript processes, and graduation
  8. Takes part in training and monitoring department staff; schedules and prioritize work activities and develops and organizes training materials
  9. Oversees daily and some long-term operations of the Records & Enrollment Services; actively maintains up-to-date knowledge of area and acts as a subject matter expert and general point of contact within the area of specialty
  10. Utilizes education, knowledge and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts to perform training and development courses for new and current LSC staff, faculty, students, and community
  11. Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:

* Equipment used includes a PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment

* Internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position

* Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Associate degree or higher and at least 1 year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Salary

Hiring salary range is $38,761-$44,575.

Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted full-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fall in that range is determined by your related experience and education. Should you receive an offer of employment from Lone Star College, the resume submitted in the application process will be utilized to calculate your salary offer.
