The Program Coordinator serves as the key contact for the programs, and a key liaison to the community.

Existing program activities include: nurturing existing ties to local community-based organizations and developing new relationships; generating community-based consultation requests on research topics, coordinating and leading consultations with UCSF researchers and community partners to infuse all phases of the research enterprise with community perspectives; implementing an evaluation protocol for consultations to measure the satisfaction with the process for both the researchers and the community partners; curating a searchable, web-based database of community-engaged research resources and best practices, and; coordinating a cohort of part-time Navigators to provide help ensure that participation in research is accessible and appealing to and diverse populations.

The Community Engagement and RAGE programs work together to ensure robust, mutually-beneficial linkages between the UCSF researchers and the broader community to ensure the research enterprise is addressing health equity and working towards health and well-being for all, with a particular focus on the historically-excluded Latinx, Chinese, and Black populations in the San Francisco Bay Area. The programs also work with the CTSI Community Advisory Board. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex and technical information in a clear and concise manner for multiple audiences, and, preferably in multiple languages. Web design (Drupal) and/or other visual design skills are also highly valuable in this position.
