Job Summary Are you a seasoned Senior Construction Engineer eager to elevate your career to new heights? Join our Construction Management team at TYLin and seize the opportunity to become a Senior Construction Engineer for the vibrant Chicago Metro Region. As a Senior Construction Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the urban landscape, contributing to the development of roadways, transit systems, railroads, bridges, and transportation structures. Your expertise will shine as you bring design specifications to life while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities & Qualifications

In this role, you'll take the lead in determining procedures, inspecting materials, and orchestrating seamless agency coordination. You'll apply your innovative problem-solving techniques to tackle a diverse range of engineering challenges. Moreover, your experience and leadership will play a pivotal role in the development and mentorship of our promising junior staff, making a lasting impact on the future of our team and the industry.

The Qualification We Seek Are:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, with preferably an Illinois PE license or CCM.

  • Ten or more years of related experience, preferably on IDOT, ISTHA, CDOT, CTA or Class I Railroad projects of equivalent complexity.

  • Experience shall include interfacing with contractors, experience in assisting in dispute resolution, and management oversight of TYLI and sub consultant staff assigned to the various aspects of the projects.

  • OSHA 30-hour safety course preferred

  • CMIT preferred

  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.

  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients' toughest challenges.

  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.

  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.
