Salary Range

This area has been designated as a Minnesota Health Professional Shortage Area (MHPSA). Employees who primarily work in an MHPSA will receive a 15% differential pay in addition to their base salary (which is already included in the salary range above).

Base Salary: $52,960.65 - $61,322.85

The expected compensation range for this position represents a good faith estimate for this position and the specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, experience, and/or FTE.

Canvas Health's mental health and substance use disorder providers, clinicians, and staff bring their diverse lived experience to help inform and guide the care they provide to clients. Our integrated programs and services offer coordinated care to people of all ages in their homes, the community, and in our clinics. Canvas Health is a non-profit, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) specializing in serving clients who are on Medicaid.

Position Summary

This position performs behavioral health insurance verification, billing, and accounts receivable procedures; monitors and maintains documentation regarding payer reimbursement regulations and procedures; and communicates with clients and staff regarding insurance, billing, and collection matters.

Location

Oakdale, MN (hybrid)

Schedule

40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, typical hours are between the hours of 8am to 5pm

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• Two (2) or more years' experience with insurance
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and basic Word applications

Preferred Qualification

• Associates degree
• Three years billing, insurance verification, reimbursement and collections experience in a mental health organization
• Electronic Health Record systems and billing knowledge
• Experience working with and/or delivering services to diverse populations
