Introduction

As a Principal Business Analyst, you will leverage your expertise in Agile software methodologies and advanced tools to identify, document, and communicate software use cases, helping clients develop and maintain enterprise systems and models. You will manage complex, high-visibility projects, influence business decisions, and collaborate with development teams to deliver exceptional business solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Analyze, document, and communicate functional and non-functional business requirements.

  • Responsible for the collection, evaluation, understanding, and communication of business requirements involved in the development of new or the modification and ongoing support of existing enterprise business applications.

  • Manage large-scale, high-visibility projects aligned with corporate objectives.

  • Subject matter expert in various areas of the organization and be an influential partner in setting business direction and process.

  • Participates in system requirements definition, testing, training, implementation, and support of enterprise-wide business applications.

  • Use industry-standard techniques like data flow modeling and workflow analysis

Location and Travel Details

The position is onsite in Waltham, MA.

Required For This Opportunity

  • Agile Management Tools: Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.

  • UI Prototyping Tools: Visio, Figma, or Visual Studio.NET.

  • Modeling Tools: UML-based tools such as Lucidchart, Enterprise Architect, or similar.

  • Reporting Tools: Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting platforms.

  • Power Platform Tools: Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Query.

  • Collaboration Tools: Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Confluence.

  • 8+ years in business analysis, with 3+ years' experience in project management.

  • Expertise in Agile methodologies and tools for data analysis and documentation.

  • Proven experience in backlog management and UI/report mockup design.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have Skills

  • Knowledge of iterative methodologies like MSF or RUP.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 modernization.

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and technical writing skills.

  • MBA preferred.
