Summary

This position offers exciting opportunities with the expansion of our Electrical domain to support the future technology needs, linking them to the specific components and systems requirements. As an Electrical Specialist, you will play a fundamental role in the scouting, benchmarking, and sourcing of new components potentially including joysticks, armrests, switches, keypads, and traction motors and inverters to support the future developments in the Electrical area. The candidate will work closely with Engineering and SQE specialists to assess supplier commercial and technical capabilities. The candidate will also work closely with the other internal groups like Innovation, Industrial Design, Vehicle Electronics, and Digital teams, to provide the proper support and understand the needs.



Responsibilities

    Support planning and coordination of Supplier Scouting activities in the identification, review, and assessment of Suppliers for new electrification components, mainly armrest assemblies, joysticks, switches, keypads, and traction motors and inverters but can also include other electrical components as assigned.
  • Maintain and develop Supply Base pool with all related Supplier activities needed (Coding, Data Collection, Tech Days, ...)
  • Drive Sourcing Process for Electrical components
  • Support contract finalization with Electrical Suppliers at all steps such as NDA, Co-Development, Co-Design and eventual Supply Agreement
  • Manage relationships with Engineering, SQE, Advanced Technologies, Innovation teams, and Digital
  • Attend webinars (conferences), meetings and/or conduct relevant business/technology database search to identify potential new electrical Suppliers and opportunities
  • Provide regular progress updates to management on work progress
  • Travel, as necessary, to other development sites and to field tests

Annual Base Salary range for this role: $84,000 to $120,000 USD (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

This position is a Hybrid schedule with at least 2 days in the office per week. The position will require travel to suppliers on a frequent basis.



Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management. In lieu of Bachelor's degree will consider an Associate's degree in same line of study with 10 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience with sensor technologies, electric motors, voltage regulators and HW electronics in a manufacturing setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's dergree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical industry and supply base knowledge.
  • Knowledge of electrical contract development, negotiation, and deployment.
  • Strong data analysis and advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to leverage industry specific software and data mining from ERP software.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical documents.
  • Advanced understanding of terms, nomenclature and business models used in the industry.
  • Ability to be accurate, precise and follow set procedures and standards.
  • Excellent collaboration and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels within the organization and with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%, primarily domestic but with the possibility for international.
