Business Office Manager

US Army Electronic Proving Ground

Primary Responsibilities

The Business Office Manager provides team leadership and uses analytical methods/creative problem solving to ensure business functions are timely and accurate for the contract at the US Army Electronic Proving Ground. Performs complex financial administrative reporting for assigned test activities and related overhead costs to closely monitor all cost. Conducts cost, schedule, contract performance, variance and risk analysis and provides the appropriate reporting as required. Prepares project performance metrics in coordination with their command civilian counterparts in the Army Resource Management (RM) division and other senior staff. Participates in the development of cost control processes, systems and forecasting techniques to evaluate contract/program status ensuring compliance with government and customer requirements. Identifies schedule anomalies, trends, and workload shortfalls. Coordinates closely with Corporate Financial teams to ensure accurate and timely invoices and other financial reporting.

Leads and motivates a team to achieve goals, foster collaboration, address conflicts, and creat a positive work environment. Coordinates the overall workload and team coverage aspects of daily operations in the business office to ensure continuing coverage for all business office operations. Monitors employee productivity, evaluates performance against set standards, provides regular feedback, and identifies areas for improvement. Onboarding new employees, providing ongoing training, and identifying opportunities for employee growth.

Experience

Must have a minimum of 8 years' experience with Cost Plus contracts and contract financial functions for government customers. DoD experience preferred.

Education and Certifications

Bachelor's Degree in Finance and/or Accounting required. Post graduate MBA preferred.

Security Clearance:

Currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship..
