Payrate: $31.50/hour on w2 without benefits

Shift Timings: First Shift

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (OR) Business Administration or related field (OR) Associate's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field and three (3) years of recent accounting experience in analysis, maintaining financial accounts and records, proficiency with Microsoft Office products, stron interpersonal communication, and strortorganizational skills required. Previous with Ellucian Banner and not-for-profit fund accounting, and experience in a higher education environment is preferred.


Role & Responsibilities:

  • The Fiscal Analyst-Budget and Human Resources reports to the Director of Budget and/or their designee and performs the following duties:
  • Maintains the integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy of up-to-date budget and human resource files, records, and documentation including management of new hire paperwork and personnel files.
  • Process high volume of data in HRIS system
  • On a monthly basis, update expenditures, revenues, and forecasts for reports shared with upper management and the Board of Trustees.
  • Assists with payments including but not limited to bond payments to the County, capital payments, and benefit payments.
  • Performs budget transfers and/or adjustments for operating and capital accounts as necessary.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
  • Prepares, revies and analyzes statistical and financial reports for internal (College) or external (Federal, State, etc.) distribution/submission.
  • Assists with the preparation of the College's budget proposal including but not limited to distribution to the County Legislature and HVCC Board of Trustees.
  • Assists with year-end activities, including but not limited to: capital construction PO rollovers, capital and operating year-end reports, audit reports, ACA tracking, IPEDS, and Seniority lists.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • On a monthly basis, perform analysis or reconciliation of necessary College accounts.
  • Provides clerical support to the Budget and Human Resources departments.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
