Job Description

The Auditor will be responsible for auditing processed claims, customer inquiries and membership processing in compliance with one of the following mandated audit programs: Member Touchpoint Measures (MTM); End to End audit program; Federal Employee Program (FEP); and Control Plan Audits. In addition, assists the senior performance auditor on audits of third-party administrators (TPA) and external audits.
  • Audit company systems and processes that support Claims, Customer Inquiries, and Membership processing in compliance with one of the mandatory audit programs noted above. Will learn and engage with the other audit programs processed in the department.
  • Provide feedback and data insights to the business areas for errors identified. Report audit results to leadership, including trends. Identify and propose possible corrective actions to address audit errors and training opportunities. These can include system enhancements, Policy and Procedure revisions, and/or job aids to improve the quality of service provided to customers, creating and strengthening controls, and improving performance.
  • Complete audits and reports according to contractual agreements, audit requirements and deadlines in compliance with mandated guidelines. Document audit findings to address all audit issues. Perform quality analysis such as Root Cause Analysis. Provide consistent feedback to the operational departments and make recommendations based on audit findings.
  • Assist Senior Auditors in conducting the audits of Third- Party administrators who assist the company in the administration of benefits. TPA audits are required by the North Carolina Department of Insurance.
  • Assist the Senior Auditor in conducting and summarizing audits and requests from external group audits.
  • Participate in cross-functional team collaboration activities to develop training programs that establish new methods and efficiencies within the audit process.

Hiring Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)
  • 3+ years of experience in related field.
  • In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field.

Salary Range
