What You Can Expect

The Construction Management Advisor (CMA) oversees multiple renewable energy projects across North America, ensuring efficient execution, on-time delivery, within budget, and adherence to quality and safety standards. This role involves complete oversight of construction and staffing throughout each phase of large utility-scale projects, supporting various functions including development, engineering, permitting, supply chain, contracts, pre-construction, and Delivery Project Managers. The CMA provides leadership and guidance to site construction managers and field teams, driving operational excellence and project success across diverse locations.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead Construction Efforts: Oversee all construction activities across multiple renewable energy (Wind, Solar, Storage) projects, ensuring efficient execution and adherence to quality and safety standards
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Delivery Project Managers and stakeholders to set performance targets and align site teams with ENGIE goals
  • Monitor project schedules and budgets, addressing variances and developing preliminary project schedules
  • Project Scope Refinement: Collaborate with pre-construction and Delivery PM teams to refine project scopes, objectives, and feasibility
  • Site Assessments: Conduct site assessments to evaluate conditions and layout options
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor Site Construction Managers and field staff, conducting regular site visits to assess progress and provide guidance
  • Training Initiatives: Lead training to enhance team skills and foster a safe, motivated, and efficient workforce
  • Budget Review: Refine budgets throughout the pre-construction phase to align with ENGIE financial goals
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Promote a safety-first culture and ensure projects align with environmental and regulatory standards
  • Quality Assurance and Risk Management: Establish quality standards, coordinate commissioning activities, and resolve non-conformities
  • Technical Issue Resolution: Manage commissioning schedules, resolve technical issues, and ensure successful energization of projects
  • Progress Updates: Provide consistent updates regarding commissioning progress, challenges, and resolutions
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between site construction teams, senior leadership, and external stakeholders
  • Resource and Budget Management: Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment, manage change orders, and oversee regional resource allocation
  • Cost Estimates: Create cost estimates for upcoming projects, considering materials, labor, and other construction-related costs



What You'll Bring



  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of technical training and/or related construction management experience, with a minimum of seven (7) years' total experience, including at least three (3) years in a regional or multi-site management role
  • Must have demonstrated experience in renewable energy construction projects, such as solar, wind, and battery storage facilities, and comprehensive knowledge of construction processes and sequencing
  • Proven track record of managing large budgets, complex schedules, and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Electrical generation project development and project management, with a working knowledge of construction law, contracts, claims avoidance, insurance, and contract administration
  • Deep understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations, especially as they pertain to renewable energy projects Strong background with renewable construction projects
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and foster a collaborative culture
  • Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and with PROCORE



Additional Details



  • This role requires attendance at a worksiteon a daily/weekly/rotational basis
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 75% of the time
  • U.S. driver's license/clean driving record, for the use of fleet cars, personal and or hire cars when traveling, to drive to site locations and meetings
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions
  • Must be physically able to conduct site visits and walk renewable energy sites for extended periods of time in hot or cold weather conditions to complete job assignments



Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000 - $172,500 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate. Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
