What You'll Do
Designing effective Data and/or Records Management policies and processes which support the data strategy whilst enabling risk reduction and compliance with Data and/or Records related regulatory requirements. Setting and overseeing the execution of the Data Strategy, delivery roadmap and KPI at Group, Divisional/Functional and Regional level. Taking responsibility and accountability for the identification, assessment, improvement and governance of quality and fitness-for-purpose of the bank's Data assets and/or Records. Ensuring that the bank's Data and/or Records Management frameworks are operational within the business divisions and/or infrastructure functions. Ensuring adequacy of data sharing, access, retention and disposal for area of accountability, in accordance to the bank's defined processes. For roles with a specific focus on data management, work also includes: Serving as trustees to ensure adequate data quality controls and data architecture are in place so that data can effectively support business processes. Assessing the current state of data quality within their scope of responsibility, transparently monitoring and reporting on data quality levels to impacted stakeholders and engaging with business and leadership to quantify and articulate the business impact of data quality issues and identify and track remediation plan. Establishing target goals for data quality improvement and identifying optimal approaches for resolving data quality issues to achieve targets. How You'll Lead
Responsible for establishing and managing Data Quality Issue inventory for the US Region, extending to capability to other regions as appropriate. Partners with global CDO organization to increase adoption of DQ Issue process and tooling by US Data Consumers Establishes and implements DQ Issue prioritization criteria tied to business outcomes (i.e. Data Exceptions, Adjustments, etc.) Partners with Divisional Data Officers to develop inventory of Data Quality issues for the US Region Works with global and regional stakeholders to clearly identify dependency on resolution of US-related issues by other programs; establishes engagement model with relevant programs on specific implementation dependencies Drives root cause analysis and implementation of priority US DQ Issues not in scope for global Divisional Data Officers or other strategic programs Designs and implements reporting to articulate progress of Data Quality Issue resolution and impact to Data Risk for the region Directly responsible for interfacing with the regulators and supporting regulatory exams on questions related to Data Quality Issue Management Drives alignment of US processes such as Regulatory Reporting to leverage global Data Quality issue inventory and tooling
Skills You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field. Deep understanding of front-to-back data supply chain at a large and complex financial institutions Strong business analysis skills to identify root causes of issues, define themes, and assess remediation options Experience with risk assessment frameworks and compensating controls with experience working in on project deliverables with complex dependencies on other programs Strong project management and project delivery experience with demonstrated experience designing and implementing Data Quality Issue KPIs Exceptionally strong stakeholder management skills, including up to Board of Directors Demonstrated experience of interfacing with U.S. and/or global regulators
Expectations It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model. The salary range for this position in New York, NY is $177,000 to $266,700.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
