Manager of Technical Services

Location: Remote with travel to clinics in New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Washington DC, and Eastern Pennsylvania

The Manager of Technical Services (MoTS) is a key leadership role accountable for overseeing the coordination of biomedical technical and facility services across multiple dialysis clinics. This position requires extensive expertise and a high degree of judgment to effectively address challenges within the context of established policies and practices.

Travel to various clinic locations in New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Washington DC, and Eastern Pennsylvania is required.

Essential Functions:



  • Provides direct and dotted-line reporting leadership, guidance and technical expertise in the recruiting, hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary processes of local clinic biomedical facility technical staff.
  • Manages the orientation and training of biomedical facility technical employees to ensure timely and thorough training.
  • Coordinates and ensures the utilization of appropriate resources to maintain technical compliance during biomedical facility technical employees' vacancies.
  • Serves as a technical resource for both technical and clinical staff.
  • Communicates collaboratively and effectively with Clinic Managers, Medical Directors, Regional Vice Presidents, Director of Technical Services, Vice President of Technical Services and other relevant parties regarding technical operations and technical related issues.
  • Collaborates with leadership of various departments, including operations, technical services, and project management, on supplies and cost analysis.
  • Reviews and monitors equipment repair costs for all locations within the assigned region. Vigilantly tracks parts expenses and implements strategies to reduce spending on parts where possible, while maintaining a steadfast commitment to ensuring patient safety.
  • Participates in scheduled meetings, committees, and improvement projects to enhance the overall effectiveness of Technical Operations
  • Monitors, tracks, and completes reports related to semi-annual AAMI water testing, Monthly QAPI reports, Monthly Inventory reports, and any new reporting requirements as they arise.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of AAMI Guidelines, State-specific, and Federal Medicare Regulations, and collaborates with facility staff to implement these regulations in new, acquired, managed, and existing facilities.
  • Continuously updates knowledge of State and Federal regulations relevant to dialysis clinic operations.
  • Ensures compliance with established technical policies and procedures across all facilities.
  • Conducts annual technical audits in facilities to assess compliance with various regulatory requirements (Federal, State, OSHA, FDA, AAMI, etc.).
  • Assists in developing technical related Plan of Corrections for internal and external audits/surveys.
  • Participates in State/Federal surveys and audits, such as CMS, Life Safety, OSHA, DHEC, etc., including related technical and compliance reports.
  • Implements company technical policies and procedures consistently across new, acquired, managed, and existing facilities.
  • Assists in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of medical equipment (e.g., Reverse Osmosis, Dialysis machines, EMR systems, etc.).
  • Assists and coordinates in troubleshooting and executing necessary repairs related to Physical Plant issues and Plan of Corrections.
  • Provides guidance and resources to the biomedical facility technical employees for managing and fulfilling responsibilities related to inventories.
  • Ensures strict compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborates with the legal team when necessary to establish contracts with vendors, and assists in setting up De Novo facilities, expansions, and acquisitions in accordance with standard policies, procedures and current approved templates. Also responsible for ordering supplies and initializing validation processes for these facilities.
  • Supports other projects and tasks as needed.



Required Education and Experience:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of technical and management experience in dialysis.

    • Experience must include dialysis machine maintenance, water treatment systems and associated regulations.


  • Minimum of 4-6 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with dialysis survey process.
  • Basic computer skills.
