This position leads and is accountable for the overall operational performance for all Distribution / Warehousing functions for Campbell's Distribution network, including the cost performance, masterplan execution, and results delivery for internally managed and externally contracted (3PL) operations. The 3PL Sr Manager, is a critical role in the Supply Chain Planning and Logistics organization, responsible for delivering strong KPI and elevated customer service performance, standard work process applications across the distribution network, and strengthening the effectiveness and collaboration amongst our Distribution Centers / Warehouse Operations and other functions across Supply Chain.
This position will be responsible for the overall Operations Performance for Campbell's 3PL Distribution Network. Including setting direction for the broader 3PL Network Team, being the primary thought leader for improvements in productivity, asset utilization, and warehouse-based customer solutions fulfillment. The Distribution team is managed by outsourced strategic partner resources, and this role must foster a culture of collaboration, partnership, discipline, agility, and continued investment in organizational capability. The Sr Manager will be accountable for leading best practices reapplication in the overall work processes, analytics, delivery methods, service, and sustainability efforts, as well as leading the development and execution of specific cost savings projects across the network. The Sr Manager will play a key role in the financial controls process, including SOX compliance and audits, timely revenue recognition performance, and driving the Distribution AOP (annual operating plan) development and subsequent cost performance assessments. Principal Accountabilities
Lead and support the master plan for the Distribution Organization, as a part of the broader Supply Chain Planning and Logistics Strategic Plan, driving overall Logistics cost savings, service improvement, and customer satisfaction. Duties include: Strategy
- Key thought leader in the construction of the operational and capital Strat plan and associated deliverables for 3PL Distribution function, and working collaboratively with other Logistics resources to execute the network master planning process
- Develop a Distribution strategy relative to insourcing vs. outsourcing, supplier relationship management, reverse logistics, and talent management
- Ensure best practices are shared and reapplied, with an emphasis on standardization.
- Leads the Distribution Network's strategy and execution for Corporate Sustainability initiatives.
- Foster and role model collaboration between internal functions and partners, including Legal, Global Procurement, SC Planning, CS/L, Sales, Plant / DC Operations, and Finance, as well as
Provide thought leadership and analytical support for network optimization and long-term capacity planning efforts. - Serve as primary contact for innovation projects impacting warehousing and distribution.
- Partner with Customer Supply Chain to ensure current and upcoming customer requirements can be serviced.
- Lead Snacks Repacking strategy and support cost improvement efforts
Commercial
- Must be experience with negotiating Distribution contracts and teach contracting and governance essentials to a broad team, including 3PL, building leases and terms, and MHE
- Manage the contract / KPI performance for all 3PL operations across the network (budget performance, customer service, quality, safety, inventory accuracy, etc.)
Technical / Operational
- Be the "expert" in Distribution Operations - including Safety, QA and regulatory requirements, productivity optimization, asset utilization (space, MHE, etc.), industry leading WMS knowledge and application, budget build / cost management, export and cross border, industry trends and best practices, and customer requirements, proactively managing risks and opportunities in each.
- Systems - Deep understanding and knowledge of WMS technology and innovation and will drive the standards and full utilization of WMS capability across the network. Accountable for the organizational performance in use of / interface with the WMS, YMS, SAP, and the TMS.
- Lead the Business Continuity Planning (BCP) process for the department, ensuring protocols and countermeasures are in place that minimize the impact of potential operational disruptions and risk.
- Identify and manage seasonal space requirements including startup and support of overflow outside storage facilities
Financial
- With F&A, leads the development of the annual Distribution budget process (AOP) and monthly projections quarterly LE's, directing the Logistics Analysts and Cost Center owners on the monthly budget variance analysis process.
- Manage cost performance across network and possess a deep understanding of building blocks and cost drivers for all elements of the Distribution P&L, provides training to the organization. Management of multiple cost savings projects (enablers) - scope definition, planning, documentation / vetting, timeline execution, and leadership of cross functional teams.
- Lead development and execution of the network capital plan
Analytical / Organizational
- As the subject matter expert (SME) for the Distribution discipline, the Manager will be a key resource to the network optimization / cost savings efforts for Logistics, and also provides input to / takes input from other functions, for broader operational performance improvement.
- Ability to quickly learn and use a variety of system tools. Individual will need to develop significant expertise in multiple systems that are critical to analyzing and influencing the daily Distribution business. Leads and drives broad based network trouble shooting and variance analysis, leading root-causing and data correlation techniques. Accountable for operational plan performance, driving full KPI analysis and reconciliations, including weekly scorecard report outs, and monthly / quarterly business reviews.

- Minimum education required: Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 7+ years' experience working in the Distribution / Logistics industry

- Preferred education: Master's degree
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing operations with the storage and handling of food grade / regulated products.
- Expert knowledge of industry trends and best practices, including 3PL environments. Must have experience in the execution of warehouse 3PL sourcing and governance.
- Demonstrated knowledge of end-to-end supply chain strategy
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing Logistics Operations in a highly seasonal / variable volume business.
- Proven leadership, collaboration, problem solving, and effective communication skills
- Direct experience with SAP, WMS/Red Prairie, WMS/Manhattan, TMS, and/or other systems is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits: The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $129,700-$186,400
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
