Job Description - Human Resources Coordinator

What you will do




  • Perform transactional tasks related to Centers of Excellence and HR Department processes.
  • Conduct new employee orientation and other related employee onboarding and offboarding functions.
  • Initiate and address service requests in ServiceNow and other applicable systems or process flows.
  • Serve as a resource and point of contact for employees in HR matters to find answers to their questions and support their HR-related needs.



What you bring




  • High school diploma or GED and strong analytical skills to gather and summarize data for reports.
  • Customer centric and resourceful.
  • Proficiency in computer applications include Microsoft Office and HR systems such as Workday, PeopleSoft, Oracle, Taleo and ELM.
  • Demonstrated experience with system troubleshooting.

This is an on-site position in Tucson, AZ

Position Description

Performs complex and confidential transactional functions in support of the Human Resources department and Centers of Excellence (COE). Working in collaboration with other teammates, this role helps create greater process efficiency and continuity across the various HR functions. Aids and facilitates processes for the teams within HR including Employee & Labor Relations, Total Rewards; Talent Acquisition; HR Operations; Talent Development; and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) in support of the employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle. Handles highly confidential and sensitive information. This role supports a diverse group of important internal and external visitors and stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Exercises independent judgment required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload and recommend changes in office practices or procedures.

Position-Related Responsibilities

Performs transactional tasks related to COE and HR Department processes and programs to include:

* Processes and inputs data for various types of employee program enrollments, information, and changes

* Compiles data and files reports

* Utilizes Microsoft 365 products and other applications to produce documents, spreadsheets and materials

* Organizes and tracks files, records and materials

* Performs auditing and correction of data entry

* Conducts new employee orientation and other related employee onboarding and offboarding functions

* Coordinates vendor and other billing tasks

* Processes and delivers monthly reports

* Drafts and distributes employee announcements and communications and maintains tracking

* Sets up and administers surveys

* Develops and updates department pages for company intranet and content for department websites

* Initiates and addresses service requests in ServiceNow and other applicable systems or process flows

* Maintains human resources information system and other system records and filing

* Serves as a resource and point of contact for employees in HR matters to find answers to their questions and support their HR-related needs

* Serves as an integral member of a team of HR Coordinators who support varied departments within the HR function, performing some or all of the duties listed, as assigned

* Fulfills other tasks and responsibilities in support of HR Department needs and within the HR function

* Provide services to affiliates of the Company subject to the UNS Energy Code of Conduct and the related Policies and Procedures.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.)

Minimum Qualifications



  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong analytical ability is required to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work.
  • Ability to prioritize work in a dynamic environment and adapt to change.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Must have proficient experience in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and relational databases (Microsoft 356, PeopleSoft or other HRIS system, preferred).
  • Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Associates degree or higher.
  • Three to five years previous administrative experience with some exposure to labor and employment law, as it relates to employment practices, personnel policies, and benefits administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Pay Rate: $50,000 - $62,000
