We're actively seeking a talented Underwriting Technical Director to join our Producer Group. This role is 100% remote. You'll stay connected to Pacific Life from your home office.

As an Underwriting Technical Director you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by reviewing high profile and financially complex cases, work directly with leadership on large cases and partner with our reinsurers to package jumbo cases. You will fill an existing role that sits on a team of 15 people in the Underwriting & New Business division. Your colleagues will include directors, and consultants and/or fellow underwriting professionals. Experience in the large-case and reinsurance market is a must.

How you'll help move us forward:

  • Assess and review large cases
  • Partner with our reinsurers on jumbo cases
  • Mentor junior underwriters
  • Provide presentations to our top customer groups & establish relationships

The experience you bring:

  • Large-case experience ($20M+)
  • Extensive knowledge of medical and financial complexities
  • Ability to collaborate with peers and colleagues

What makes you stand out:

  • Established relationships with reinsurance partners and Producer Groups
  • Prior experience establishing and updating guidelines and presentations

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$145,080.00 - $177,320.00
