Our culture is centered on embracing a growth mindset and encouraging teams and leaders to bring their best each day. Join us and help shape the future of the world. Are you a partner-focused self-starter who understands what it takes to design collaborative workstreams, can execute and hold groups accountable for success, and drive complex, multi-workstream activities from incubation to production? The Office of the CTO (OCTO) OpenAI Partnership Team is a small group that acts as 'air traffic control' for Microsoft's strategically important relationship with OpenAI. Our goal is to ensure that Microsoft maintains a healthy relationship with OpenAI, identifies opportunities for collaboration, and delivers on the promise of ourindustry-defining partnership. This role requires a self-motivated individual, comfortable operating in a very fast-paced and highly technical environment who will help support Microsoft's AI ambitions. This individual will provide strategic planning support, reporting and analysis of research breakthroughs and technology trends, and relationship management across multiple stakeholder groups. This individual will be responsible for managing day-to-day partnership activities: this includes designing and executing programs for research collaboration, IP transfer, escalations and dispute resolution, and contract governance. This individual should be able to switch between high-level strategic thinking and excellent program management, moving from recommendations for how Microsoft should take advantage of OpenAI's research breakthroughs to tactical documenting of our partnership activities. A key success factor will be ensuring that Microsoft leaders - up to and including members of the SLT - have the information needed to make sound strategic decisions. This role requires collaborating with teams and executives across Microsoft, OpenAI, and other stakeholder groups, managing the interaction of research, product, policy, and PR/Comms to drive successful delivery of joint projects - all while staying focused on Microsoft's strategic goals. This role is located either in Redmond, WA, or San Francisco/Bay Area, CA. This role is eligible for hybrid work.
